About Us

UCHINA is your presence in China. Our vision is to give you a head start in China, regardless of whether you are physically present here.

Based in Shenzhen, UCHINA is a team of experts who have lived in China for over 10 years and know the culture intimately. We speak the Chinese language and we have rich experience working with Chinese businesses.
Our story
In 2014, we founded UCHINA in Guangzhou, the wholesale capital of South China. We worked in many different markets, from running music events, creating a shoe brand, starting a logistics business, to exporting mining equipment. We learnt the Chinese way of doing business first hand, and became familiar with the Chinese culture.

Our core business revolves around trading and manufacturing. We have dealt with cosmetics, glasses, POS systems, clothing, raw materials, LED lighting, and many other industries. As our focus shifted to electronics and technology, we moved our base of operations to Shenzhen, the hardware capital of the world.
Shenzhen Advantage
The UCHINA office is in Troublemaker, a well-known maker space in Huaqiangbei, Shenzhen. Troublemaker boasts a large community of experts and engineers who have advised countless companies on their products and businesses. With their help, you will know what to look out for instead of repeating the same mistakes as others.

Minimize time wasted and money spent. Speed up the processes.
UCHINA Advantage
UCHINA can help you, whether you are new to hardware development, new to China, or both. Our wealth of experience tackling new challenges and creating products make us well-equipped to advice teams regardless of their background. We believe we have value to add to small teams or big companies.

The value we add is evident in the numerous consultation requests we receive. We are determined to help startups hit the ground running, thus we created UCHINA acceleration program to help hardware startups speed up their product development.
UCHINA Philosophy
Here at UCHINA, we believe in transparency, honesty and mutual respect. We love technology and innovative products, and we want to see teams we have worked with succeed and grow. We are a startup too. We follow lean manufacturing processes and use the lean startup methodology. We employ holacracy to ensure our team stays nimble and deliver timely results.
